The Deep, Deep Rape Culture: Some People Just Don’t Believe the Victim — Even After Learning That She Was Indeed Raped

Despite the evidence, they call her a liar

I’m always puzzled by a fact:

Many, many people believe that women cry rape all the time, that women want to be raped, that women are obligated to have sex with their dates, partners, husbands. Whenever there’s a rape reported, their first, automatic response is: “She’s a slut, she must have done something wrong to ask for it.”

And believe it or not, many women believe in these stupid and devilish ideas too.

Of course, a society floating around with these myths is one with deep rape culture. Unfortunately, this is a shared phenomenon across the globe; many countries and regions blatantly or covertly treat women as second-class citizens. Inferior humans.

And no, the great US of A is in NO WAY better; for example, less than 1% of rapes lead to felony convictions. But many still believe that America is wonderful for both genders, that sexism is a thing in the past. What makes it worse is that the brainwash is so successful, even many women themselves agree with it to a point they celebrate. Watch what this Fox female anchor said and how John Oliver responded:
