Turkey Drumstick Noodle Soup —a Low Calorie, Healthy Meal
Turkey and chicken are among the healthier choices of meat comparing to red meat. Now, some people might wonder which is healthier: turkey or chicken? According to Ansley Hill, a registered dietitian nutritionist, they aren’t significantly different. Keri Gans, another registered dietitian, also pointed out that though breast meat usually is leaner than thigh/drumstick dark meat, the fat difference is very small. Therefore, we have reason to believe that either turkey or chicken drumstick is pretty much equally good. In general, it is recommended to cut back red meat consumption, as Cleveland Clinic suggested. So this dish is a good alternative.
This recipe works great on any noodles. I use soba noodles cause they seem to be among the healthier noodles. But you can use any noodles or spaghetti you like.
As for the veggies, of course, you can choose whatever you like, but broccoli and sugar snap peas are among the healthiest veggies I favor. Plus, cooked tomatoes have great health benefits.
